Terms of service
Effective from 14 October 2026
1. Provider
Vocano is provided by Koobe Sp. z o.o., ul. Kornela Makuszyńskiego 4, 31-752 Kraków, Poland, KRS 0000432277, NIP 6783145863, REGON 122652550, e-mail: [email protected] (“we”).
2. What Vocano is
Vocano helps children learn words and phrases from their foreign-language lessons. The service consists of the Account Holder panel (app.vocano.app), where an adult creates lessons and children's profiles, and the mobile app, where the child practises. The service is currently free of charge. If we ever introduce paid features, we will announce them in advance and never charge anyone without their explicit consent.
3. The Account Holder's account
- Only an adult may create an account (the Account Holder): a parent, a legal guardian or another person teaching the child (for example a teacher) with the consent of the child's parent or legal guardian.
- On first entering the panel, the Account Holder accepts these terms and the privacy policy and confirms being the Account Holder. After the documents change, the panel asks for acceptance again.
- You log in with a one-time link sent to your e-mail address. Keep your mailbox secure.
- The Account Holder creates the children's profiles, decides what data about them to enter and is responsible for the child's use of the app.
- The child's phone is linked to the Account Holder's account with a code or QR code from the panel; it can be disconnected at any time.
4. Technical requirements
Panel: an up-to-date web browser and internet access. App: an iPhone or iPad with iOS 15.5 or later; exercises also work offline and progress syncs once the device is online.
5. Content added by users
- Enter words and phrases to learn in lessons. Do not enter personal data or unlawful or offensive content.
- Words and phrases go to Vocano's shared dictionary: they may be suggested to other users and their voice recordings are shared. By adding them you grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to use them in the service, without time or territorial limits.
- We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law.
6. Voice recordings and limits
Recordings are created automatically the first time a word is played. To keep the service free and safe, we apply daily limits on new recordings; once they are used up, the phone's own voice reads the word and the recording is created later.
7. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the service running without interruptions or errors, but cannot guarantee it; the service is being developed and may change. We are not responsible for learning results or the child's school grades. We do not exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded by law, in particular towards consumers.
8. Complaints
Send comments and complaints about the service to [email protected], describing the problem and giving the account's e-mail address. We reply within 14 days.
9. Ending use
You can stop using the service at any time: delete your children's profiles or the whole account in the panel (the account menu, "Delete account") or ask us to delete your account at [email protected]. We may block an account that seriously breaches these terms after asking the user to stop, unless the breach threatens the security of the service or other users.
10. Personal data
How we process data is described in the privacy policy.
11. Changes and governing law
We will announce changes to these terms at least 14 days before they take effect, by e-mail or in the panel. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account. These terms are governed by Polish law; this does not deprive consumers of the protection given by the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
